Our Parish and letter from our Parish priest Father Kieran O'Grady

Mass is held each Saturday at 5:30pm at the Twelve Apostles Parish Church, Leigh.

Dear Parents,

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself as your new parish priest. I have been in Leigh for 8 months and since arriving here I’ve had the opportunity to meet your children and their teachers at our Parish School, XII Apostles. I take this opportunity to invite each of you to join in the various activities in our Parish, most especially our Sunday celebration of Mass. We plan in the near future to have a special family Mass which will be geared towards and involve the children.

All that is taught in our schools, all our prayers and the assemblies led by the children and ourselves to the high point of our faith, the Sunday Mass .I invite you and your family to come along; everyone is welcome. I am aware that some parents are not Catholic and others may not have attended Mass for some time. With this is mind, I invite those who may be interested in finding out more about the Faith or those who are a little rusty and wish to return to Mass, to consider joining our’ Journey in Faith ‘group .This programme is an informal gathering for anyone interested in the Catholic Faith ,led by the parish priests and some parishioners. The programme will commence at the end of September 2013 and anyone who decides to come along will be most welcome.

I look forward to working with you over the months and years ahead ; please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything at all. If you are interested in attending our course ,please give me a ring at the presbytery on 01942673753.

Wishing you and all your families every blessing,

Best wishes,

Father Kieran O’Grady
