Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to be writing to you as the Headteacher of Twelve Apostles Catholic Primary School. Working at Twelve Apostles for over 20 years has enabled me to develop strong relationships with the children, parents, staff and governors and this has given me an excellent understanding of our fantastic school.

I believe wholeheartedly in our school’s mission statement ‘Through learning and loving we will follow Jesus.’ Together with a dedicated staff and governing body, it is our mission to nurture an environment where Christ is at the centre of everything we do, and where every child’s uniqueness is celebrated. It is my belief that little is achieved without passion and dedication, and I am passionate about ensuring our school continues to provide an outstanding education that is rooted in the gospel values and ensures all children achieve their potential.

Motivating children in their learning is an essential step in a successful education. Here at Twelve Apostles, we provide an exciting and engaging learning environment which is enriched with a range of extra-curricular activities. It is my vision to continue to build on this outstanding curriculum so that alongside developing strong foundations in maths and English, children have access to an interconnected curriculum that enables them to be aspirational for their future.

At our outstanding school, high expectations of behaviour and learning are shared, and we work together with our families to ensure all children fulfil their human potential both academically and spiritually. As the Headteacher, I will ensure this positive learning environment is maintained so that children develop the learning behaviours and aspirations necessary for them to succeed in their future.
